A rough horsepower estimate, oh foxbody gurus of the MF.

I gave the specs that we know:
GT 40 heads
E cam
Cobra intake
full length headers
cheaper/cheapest model Vortech, running low relatively low boost
C-4 tranny
relatively high stall
stock weight
3.55 gears
I mean really, I know there are still some unknowns, Im not asking for a dead on figure, but I believe its possible to get a close guessimate. Not really that many mysteries, IMO.
Back in the day we could usually get within 20 or so horsepower either way. Plus, I thought this might be a fun topic.
Oh well...nevermind.

For anybody that's curious, he finally dyno'ed it (a year and a half later) and it made 357 at the wheels.
Looks like 83gtragtop was really close, thanks. I suppose my guess of 385 at the crank wasn't too far off either. Like I said, back in the day the guys that really knew foxbody Mustangs could take a few specs and guess within 20 or so hp. Looks like we found one of those guys on here.
Thanks again, 83, and the couple others that offered an educated guess.
PS, still miss my '89 GT.

pretty healthy numbers through the c4 as well. I had a 302 with a b cam gt40 heads tfs street heat intake and an s trim which was pullied to make 15 psi at 6600 and I was making 386 to the wheels on a very loose converter went 10.47 at 130 in a 3200lb car so it was making around 650 to the crank at that point when it was dyno'd we figured 550
