GTnotchback

I have had my FMS-M6010BOSS302 block for a year now and i cant firgure out why i put 5 quarts of oil in my engine and it shows that im wayyy over full on the dipstick. i have the stock oil pan and dipstick. It shouldnt matter but i also have the special pickup tube for this block and a high volume pump. Do i need a special dipstick?
Also i should note that the end of the dipstick hits the one main cap pretty hard as you slide it in.
