i have a 90 5.0 that has a small lope and runs rich. i have done a complete tune up and checked all vac lines. it has a msd dist. and coil. will not idle out smooth and runs rich. newly purchesed don't know anything about internals i don't think it has a cam. there are no codes in the system. i pulled them and then erased the memory and ran the car for a week no codes came up in any test. help please prob something simple i am overlooking.

 

you said you checked the vac lines. But when the line to the map sensor has a hole in it, or the map sensor itself is bad, it gives the car a lope sound. It did to mine, I kinda liked the sound lol.

 

new one already, idiot that i got the car from did alot off stupid things to it i am trying to fix. from a broken clutch spring in the rear that he reinstalled after putting in the wrong bearings to finding the driveshaft bolts only finger tight. i think i need a young priest and an old priest lol

 

by the way they have bosch platinum 4 plugs

 

not sayin its your lope problem, but bosch plugs suck. Go with just regular motocraft.

 

Fords despise Bosch, Motorcraft or Autolite.

 

dist. was off one tooth pulled and started from scratch. sounds and runs a little better but still has a bad idle feel like its missing. and now has a slight hesitation in take off. i will get new plugs to replace the bosch plugs
