Going without side moldings?????
Hey all. Been a long time since I've been on here. Here is my story. I have a 95 and it is getting to the point of needing a paint job. Has anyone had any luck going without the side moldings. I am painting it myself and I don't want to f*** with the stupid plastic crap. Anyone done this before? Pictures?

Im right between worlds with this thing. I'm tempted to just throw out the moldings and paint it flat black and make it a rat rod, parting the whole thing out and getting something else, or throwing $1000's more and hours and hours of time and trying to save a the dilapitating thing. Right now I have had the thing since high school. I have 4-5 G's in the engine, the tranny is getting tired and I should get a new tune. I have 100's of hours of blood sweat and tears into this thing but I need a DD and that's what its been for the last 5 years. I'm on a tight budget going back to college and I only have a week til classes start. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG! Where do you draw the line with training an old dog with emotional and paper investments and putting the thing in the weeds?

Keep it if it hold sentimental value. Or sell it because you cant afford to keep it due to going back to college. Or try to get the best of both by getting a cheap, reliable vehicle to commute to school and work, and park you stang till you can fix it up to the condition you desire.
