Video and comparing time is not that accurate but it's better than guessing.

Try to get the car to the dragstrip. The measure 60', 330', 1/8 mile et and mph, sometimes even 660' and 1000. Once you know the 1/4 mile time and mph. You'll have lots to compare to. Don't listen to all the experts here. Your time, as said by 95 blown, is relative.

As for the LS1 race. That car, in stock form, is probably a whole 2 seconds and maybe 15-20 faster than you in the quarter. So in a fair race, there's not much of a chance.
what does an ls1 run in the quarter?

Mid 13's is about average, ones with better gears and better drivers have gone low 13's (this assuming a stock LS1). There were several gearing options that can make a difference with cars.

hate to admit it, but ill give credit where credit's due...

LS6, LS2, LS3, and LS9 are even more so...

have to say though, not all that impressed with the LS9.

i rode in an LS7 Z06 the other day as a "before/after" comparison with the stock Z06 trans then the ZR1 trans

2.66 1.78 1.30 1:1 .74 .50
vs
2.29 1.60 1.21 1:1 .85 .74

HOLY CRAP...
the new trans is a little slow to take off but after you hit 2nd gear OMG...

kind of makes me want one for my car

it takes a whole bunch of nothing to get a ls1 car in the 12's

lucky for us most of them outweigh us by almost 1000 lbs (sorry vert owners, you got 300-500 on them)

lt1's made me spray my car back around '95 when all of a sudden a 'maro could hang.....ls1.......ugh...time to get back to basics

There is no way the car in your sig weighs 2900-3000 lbs, My Notch is not even that light. Have you ever actually had the car on a scale? Even if it does, 500 lbs is a far cry from 1000lbs. BTW at that weight my LS1 went 11.4's

3600-(500 or 600)=3000 to 3100 not 2900-3000

First I weight 125 and second that car does not have a full interior, is carbed, and has the bare minimum of what it needs. I guarantee my car weighs 3100 or less with me in it. Then if I was driving the 83 which has even less in it, I bet that sits at close to 2900 with me in it.

Your LS1 going 11.4's at that weight would be in the 10's at my weight woop dee doo
