I like the LS1's. WS6's are dead sexy, I could just stare at one for a while, and be content.

but the last one I saw that I thought was worth buying, was $19,000. and it was stock!

im poor. Ill keep my poor mans hot rod, AKA: mustang.

not to mention our cars handle better, and thats WITH the god-awful 4-link, let alone IRS...

LS1's have TA/PB from the factory...

not to mention getting more done with less is just the way to do things

Then why is it that many of the Mustang guys who actually want their cars to handle switch over to a TA/PB? Lest not forget the awful front end geometry of our Mustangs, not to mention how nose heavy they are. Look, I switched from a 2001 Camaro SS that I spent about $3000 (plus the cost of the car of course) on and ran mid 11's, to a 1993 Fox Coupe, I like the Coupe better, but I am not blind to the fact that my SS did certain things better and easier than my Fox. BTW, F bodies are not hard to work, you just have to know the tricks, as with any car. I find my Fox with the blower is a little less easy to work on than my SS was.

no, im saying that mustangs handle better WITH the 4 link, as opposed to the F bodies, which have the superior TA/PB setup. i know that its a deff step up from what we have stock (im happy with the IRS thats sitting next to my car ).

as to the LS1 being faster, well dur...

but, while going fast in a straight line is fun (grudge racing at test/tune night is always fun), at the worst it lasts 14 seconds...

30 minute banzai sessions at Watkins Glenn and Lime Rock are much more fun, and IMHO the fact that any idiot can come to test/tune vs the few people that show up on open track days kinda separates the boys from the men.

and ive yet to see an F body at the track yet...

just saying...

I see more than a few F bodies at RA, Gingerman and Autobahn. Might be a regional thing. I am with you on the road course thing, but lets not forget how much cheaper it is fo rhte average Joe to go drag race vs what it costs to run a road course. That said, one of the reasons I switched to the Mustang was to build a road course car. So far I have the TQ arm PHR set up, next are brakes and a MM k member.

im going for either the MM or D&D K member and A arms (obviously coil-overs). its not built around any class just an open track day warrior and a fun/unique street car.

by RA do you mean Road America or Road Atlanta? either one are on the top of my list of tracks to drive on.

Right before i have my car shipped to Germany to go rip around the Nurburgring (if only... )

as for brakes, just the 94/95 Cobra setup and the stock 03 Cobra rears will do fine i believe.
