Any easy solution to removing the sunroof in my 91 GT? Its a custom power sunroof that leaks and leaves puddles in my seat. I would love to get rid of it.

 

Your either going to have to replace it, or find an un-butchered donor roof to replace/patch yours.

 

LRS sells the weatherstrip.

 

Now why would LMR be carrying weather stripping for his CUSTOM POWER sunroof?
They DO carry weather stripping for a factory sunroof... but that's not what we're talking about here.

To the OP, a friend attempted to replace his roof with a donor from another car... lets just say it's a whole lotta work.

 

could always try scabbing in a piece of sheet metal over the opening.... but if you dont do it right it will look like $H!t

 

The only other thing you might be able to do is find out who manufactured the sunroof and see if they're still in business.Maybe you could find a seal that way. There are only so many seal designs in the world,post a digi pic of the end of the seal if you have time.

 

Not to rain on the parade, I mean seat. Was in hope maybe the pos from LRS might help his wet butt from the CUSTOM water leak. Tony has best idea, do some research and hope.

 

I'd go to a professional car glass shop and see if they couldn't do some custom work on your custom roof to make the leaking stop.
