Default 85 rebuild thread!!

Well ill start off by saying this is my first ever rebuild, or as i like to call it re-do. Car wasnt in horrible shape, but it also wasnt in great shape either. So ill begin with some starting pictures, and try to keep this updated every few days. I plan to do everything myself, and seeing as its my first time i dont expect things to be 100% perfect like a shop would do it. Please fee free to shout some advice as i go along!

This is what it looked like about 8 years ago, so hopeing to kinda get back to this point and better.

Oct 16th -day 1

Removed most of the clutter around the front end, the doors and rear end luckily dont need much work. Unfortunatly the front end is a disaster and will take up most of my time.

oct 17-day 2

did some patching welded up some holes and bondo, did some quick sanding already looking much better. Decided not to remove the entire motor, but did end up taking pretty much everything off except heads and block. cleaned up block and stuff went ahad and sprayed with some engine paint to make it look alittle better, will probably end up doing this again before then end. Lots of blue tape to help myself remember where things go:P

Before

after
