Exclamation electrical problems

I recently bought a 93 hatch, every now and then turn signals wont work, rear defroster, hvac controls wont turn on(backlighting works), aftermarket radio wont turn off when you turn car off(separate problem i am sure), I have read about wiring issues with the headlight switch, not sure if that would cause other problems, Any ideas on a direction to go? cuz after few min everything will work

Tear apart your steering column and check out the wiring and plugs on all your switches. The old ignition switches tend to melt or crumble causing elec issues.

^^^^Boom, check your ignition switch,I had the same problem with my turn signals, turned out the ignition switch plug was loose. As far as the other stuff, you may find it in the column as well.
