Default Rear window defroster

Oh, almost forgot, it's winter here right now, and it seems that the rear window defroster doesn't work on my car. The orange light on the button comes on, but the mist and ice from rear window doesn't disappear. Another Mustang owner told he has the same problem.

Is this a common issue for these cars, and how can I trace what's wrong? I have a voltmeter, but I don't know where to begin.

Go to grids at rear glass. Where comes out one side - other +. If you have voltage then the usual is there is small break in fine line that goes from side to side. Repair kit available with silver in paint . Two pieces of masking tape that will make a line same size. Then just paint in . Bubba

make sure all wires and connections are clean, then check for any breaks in the lines on the glass like noted

After closer inspection found out that the connector was broken off the glass, and was hanging few milimeters away.

Glued it back with the super glue, but it catched very poorly, seems there has to be a special glue for that kind of things.

Does anyone know where i can find one?

I'm going to have to look into this, as my rear defrost isn't connected either.
