Default Car got keyed

Well I went home for thanksgiving, woke up the next morning with 3 nice key marks. Two on the hood and one on the door. Most of it seems to be in the clear so Im hoping most of it will come out. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to go about fixing them and what kind of stuff you used. Thanks

scratch remover, or a light compound and a buffer, if that doesn't work, wet sand, then buff

Sorry to hear some a**hole did this to you. Usually I go by the rule of thumb that if you can stick your fingernail in the scratch it more than likely has gone through the clear and is into the paint. You are not going to get it out by just buffing with compound or scratch remover. If it is in the paint if you try to buff it out, you are going to go through the paint and into the primer if you are not careful. There are kits out there for scratch repairs, but I have never tried them. I have in the past had good results by slowly filling in scratches using factory touch up paint which I got at the dealer. I slowly build up the paint until almost level with the surface. Then I finish off with clear wet sanding and buffing until level and smooth. I guess this would only work if you still have the factory color. I have not had good experience with aftermarket touch up paint matching. Also you will never get it back to where it once was. You could try going to a body shop and see what they recommend. Good luck with the repair.
