Newby question
Hey there. I'm new to forums in general. I have grown up with Mustangs (Cobras mostly), and I recently came across a '79 Cobra. They are asking 17,000 and I'm not sure if that is too much. It has original paint, seats, radio, etc. It has been pampered in a garage it's whole life and only has 54,000 miles on the original motor. It is a turbo 4 speed. It is a beautiful car in supreme condition...but is it worth $17,000? If not how much would you pay?

Hi Mustangrl and welcome to MF, from beautiful British Columbia, Canada!
You know what, if that car is in 'supreme' condition, it's not a bad buy. That
little turbo'd 4-banger is a hearty engine...if it's that great, offer $15k and
see how it goes!
Like Timspony says, if you like it, 'buy it!'
Good luck with your negotiations...maybe try & send us some pics, if you get a chance,
before you make the final purchase.

seems way overpriced to me. if the pace car "collectable" value is ur thing then lowball him and go for it.
personally i would go for a '93 cobra
'90, '92 or '93 limited convertable
svo of any year if turbo is ur thing
or an '84 gt350 convertable that is an authentic 20th anniv. car
i would prefer those cars and the collectable value waaaaaay over a turbo 4 pace car.
**EDIT**
actually id take a nice clean low miles notch all day long over anything previously stated. i have seen factory new looking notchbacks with 20k original in the $12-$15k range
if you want collectable... get a coupe......thats where the money is
