Default Cam Question

Hope I'm asking this in the right section! What is the maximum cam lift I can have on a set of Holley heads "600 lift, with my 1.72 roller rockers? Thinking of having a 347 built for it, and was gonna change cams. I have F303 in it now.

what ever you want as long as cam timing/ valve events permit such, lift has nothing to do with ptv...also rate of springs is important too.

Thanks for replying. Everyone else feel free to join in the conversation. What size cam would you recomend for street/strip use? My motor has pretty much everything after market on it, when I get 347 built I'm gonna put all my upper parts on it.

Yeah, money is some what of an issue. But at the same time I understand if I go too cheap I will be dissapointed with the results. The guy that's gonna do my build already has set of rods and pistons, I have to buy crank. The cam was one of my main worries. I think he may have some afr heads, not sure which ones. So you don't think the Holleys will do the job? I'm open to all advise. My mechanic already has 2 cars stroked that are insane, 84 capri,408,9.40's 1/4 and fox body notch 410,10.20's 1/4. Both them running 8" slicks and all motor no power adders.

Custom cam. You pay about the same as a good ots grind, but get a better performing cam for what you want to use the car for.

first you decide your heads and intake or just email this guy and tell him your plans and intended use for the car, and he will design you a cam, don't expect to see the specs until you pay.....www.flowtechinduction.com
