Default sound deadener

so the drone and random noise created by my car has begun to get to me. i was thinking of getting some sound deadener to lay down under the carpet and rear seat, basically over where the mufflers go.

problem i see is i have a vert, would lining the floor and trunk help at all?

yes it will help but don't buy the cheap stuff.

you will still hear a lot of wind noise, which is obvious becuase its a 'vert.

I was looking at a couple different stuff. For me, im more worried about HEAT and keeping the material LIGHT.

what I was looking at was Lizard skin. You can find there website @ lizardskin.com I like it because its easy to apply, and you don't have to wear a mask/the smell kill you.

my only problem is the cost. its very expensive.

howd it work on keeping the exhaust noise down? cuz really, thats what i want, to cut the drone down as much as i can. its crazy loud, you have to speak rather loud to have a convo in my car. i have a full 2.5 inch exhaust. and its crazy loud like ive considered putting cats back on my car to quiet it down, previous owner put an offroad pro chamber on it some decade ago...

if you went to a quality muffler, the drone wouldnt be that bad.

dynamat is good, just HEAVY I think a box of the stuff is like 30-40lbs.

I'd rather not add a bunch of weight, but that's me being a weight savings ****.
