Default c4 rollerized?

Hi again. I've been trying to do some rearch on rollerizing c4 trans but can't seem to find any good links. THey all lead to no where.
Can anyone shed some light on how to perform this and what bearings do they use?

ALso what is the benefit of drilling out and tapping plug into stator support(after your remove spring). Is that just for constant pressure? Is it worth it ?

For all my past posts and who responds this posts for u. Uedlose :P

I have not done a rollerized trans yet I have not had the need. I have not ran into reliability issues as of yet. But rolleized will free up a few HP just due to less friction.the thing about rollerized you will need to have a lath to do the machine work that is required to to make the bearings fit which I do have.I do have all the bearing to do one laying in the shop but just never did it. Most of the sites I have seen don't go into real detail on the rollerized C4 just here and there also Do some more searching you may find more info on it.
Now for the stator support you will need to remove the ball also not just the spring what it does is restrict flow to what would be the cooler feed. Maybe to get trans temps up faster is why they did it or maybe to restrict flow to keep pressure down even though they are 2 different things. I don't know but I started removing the ball some times 2 of them(in the same hole) a few years ago. IMO any thing you can do to keep heat out of a C4 is a good thing so I would do it. I found tapping it running the plug in then JB weld it over works well if need be.
If you need the bearing PT# I could try to get them to you they were TH400 Stator bearings for the pump or some thing like that I really don't remember. They were not real cheap.

Hmm good to know. I think i'll hold off on rollerizing. Thx again.
Sry to pick ur brain but i have no one around me that plays with cars .
Whats your thoughts on setting clutch pack clearances. I know they say .025 for both drums is ideal. But giving my limited snap ring selection i'm able to achieve .035. Safe to say i'd be fine? Or that too loose for a performance stand point.

I'm using a 5 pack system on both drums.

What I have seen is lose is faster but it will increase clutch wear. how thick of a snap ring do you need to get into specs? I may be able to help you out.
But .035 is not out of the question. I also know some guys are setting up .004 per friction seems a bit tight to me. I think you will be fine with .035 I have used more without issues. I also think that .025 on the direct drum is a bit tight but that's IMO.

well after i finished getting my c5 all done and put back together. i Stumbled across broader performance website. Where they sell you basically all the parts you need already machined for being rollized. So i picked up abunch of goodies.
Now i have a ? of endplay when having most of your trans rollerized?
How tight can i go? I am leaving the number 2 as a select fit washer.
i've heard of guys going .004 to .008 thou.
whats your thoughts on that?
