Hei and gt40

Default Hei and gt40

will an hei dist clear the intake from a 96 explorer gt40?

and will the car go crazy if i run a hei dist instead of what came in the car?

why the hell would you want to run HEI... you must be one of those redneck chevy guys...

leave the stock system intact

i run one on my carb motor and the only reason i run it is because it only needs one wire to run.and no im not a chevy guy.i was going for something simple and trying to use as little as wires as i could.and fyi you cant use a stock hood with it.

running hei on mine for the same reason. Ran both the large and small, was able to use the factory hood, but have to run a small element. I can't imagine the large one would fit on a gt40 intake, but the small one with a separate coil shouldn't be any different...............

you wanted less wires............ but you put a distribitor in that is 2x's as big as OEM!??!?!

Well i know they are bigger but like they said i was thinking of ways to clean up the engine bay also was my reason for asking

your engine bay shouldnt be messy the stock distributor only has one harness or MAYBE 4 wires running to it...

just leave it alone.
