Sounds kinda stupid, but have you checked the gauge on any other cars? I have had 3 different vac gauges take a dump. Good luck!

Does the car idle fine? 2" at idle and there's no way it'll idle at 1k rpm. Many racecars with 4-5" idle vacuum idle very rough at ~2k rpm.

Check the gauge on another car, and also make sure it's actually on a manifold vacuum connection, and not some form of ported vacuum.

Ok the gauge was my first thought its good I dont have good brakes o installed a reservoir and still no vac for brakes over 8 in duringl normal cruising I have 10 12 in but idle 2. An efi car can idle any rpm pending tuning software. Most between 850/950 I bumped it to 1k n higher to see if it helped. I have moved the line from right behind the tb to plenum to the firewall port all the same result. Thats why im asking for fresh ideas.

Check to see your IAC position. If the IAC is way open to idle it, then you might get low vacuum, but that indicates something is seriously wrong that would force the IAC to fully open just to get the engine to idle.
