Stock pistons in 327 stroker.

To actually answer your question...you are operating within a few parameters.
1. The block is 8.200
2. The crank is 3.250 stroke
3. The piston is 1.600 from the center of the pin to the deck of the piston.
4. The connecting rod is 5.090 center to center.
You can change any number in here, except the block height. So...if you have a 3.250 stroke crank and a 1.600 C/H piston.....the rod has to change to 4.965. 8.200 - (stroke/2) - 1.600 = rod length
No you can't do it, and you are now armed with the knowledge that will avoid annoying these fine fellows. In my experience, they really get testy if you are new to the hobby.

the way you did it, if someone didnt know what you were doing you would come up with
8.200 - stroke/2 - 1.600 = 0.875
when writing math formulas you gotta have an indicator of something that has to be factored first with ()
8.200 - (stroke/2) - 1.600 = 4.975

no, im the same way; i have no problem with people asking questions when they're stuck with something,
i DO have a problem with people ignoring the "search" feature or being too dumb to type their question into google first...
and most people here shouldnt even try to put a CAI on their car, let alone ask questions about in-depth engine assembly...
if you have to ask..... DONT DO IT!!!!!!
wheres the facepalm when i need it????!!?!?

fixed(just adjusted how it looks so it gets calculated right is all)

Now, I answer them, as many times as they are asked. Even if the guy asking isn't a customer.
