Default scanner?

Will obd2 pocket scanners pull codes from an SN obd2 port reading obd1 systems. I know an 8500$ genie system will but not sure on a obd2 pocket.

niether will pull codes from the blank connector, the connector was fitted on all sn-95's as the same harnesses were used for v-6 and v-8 models, the v-6 models were obd 2 complient but the v-8's used the obd 1 out under the hood

I know the obd 2 connector in them has wires going to it but iirc they don't lead to the ecm, never torn the dash apart on one but my guess is they'd lead to an open connector
