Default Just ordered my first mod!!

I feel like a giddy little girl, but I just ordered the 3.73's for my '95gt. Can't wait for them to get here and get them installed so I can feel the difference that everyone always talks about!

Really? That was the biggest complaint I heard about 4.10s. I also didn't get them, because I read that they are not good for highway driving.

lol I'll be installing a set within the next couple of weeks I hope. It just depends on whether I get the time off work and if the weather is good.

I'm stuck between the 373's and 410 as well. I was leaning toward the 373's but I don't want to lose 1st gear if I go with the 410 because if my wife ever drives it for emergency purposes she needs to be able to control it.

I want them for the fun factor for sure. I love acceleration but don't care as much for top speed because there is no place around here to do over 85, plus I don't have the guts to do 140+ for more than a couple seconds. I just get this feeling of impending doom

If you get your gears installed before I do I'd like to know what you think of them and how your install went.

hahah my first gear was a 4.30 for a street car it was a lot of fun! not to bad on the highway either (5 speed with a .87 od gear, and 28" rear tire)

you will love the gears man! and i would look into spending money on something a little better then gt40 stuff if it can be afforded

Well I'm waiting for some student loan money, then I will have the funds to do a better setup than the gt40 parts, but I just went with the 3.73's because it seemed to be a in the middle gear and I don't plan on drag racing a whole lot. I really like the holley systemax intake, so I'll probably save for that instead, but I need a good head/cam combo to go with it. Would it be a good idea to go with a custom cam? My plans are no more than a solid street car.

I would go 3.55 or 3.73 ? if not intending to use for a drag car....
