I am thinking about buying this car. It is a lighter metallic blue 90 model lx hatch. Paint still looks good. Only mods are a no car h-pipe, flowmasters, and a 1220sl paxton. It was painted by the ford dealership around 4 years ago. It has a dent in the qtr panel behind the tire a little below in height to where the bumber would be. No paint is removed so it is really not notciable. The car has about 140k on it and the paxton has around 40k. It was an auto car but, has been converted to a 5-speed. The t-5 has the z-spec gearset and maybe 50 miles on it since it was put in. The car was fixed last week. I know the guy that bought the supercharger new put it on the car for the 40k on it and I know the guy that sold the trans to the fellow to put in. I also know the guy with the car and he is out of a job and needing money. I can buy the car for 4k.

I thought about buying the car, flipping it and keeping the supercharger and putting it on my car. It may be a time for a rebuild for it though. idk

What do you think, call the guy and buy it or is there no money to be made.

It's a gamble, I have seen the same fox bodies in my local area on CL up for about two months, everything from a 4 banger LX to a S/C LX. Price ranges are from $1000 to $6000. IMO I would buy it, take the S/C and then sell it for $4k after a good detail. I don't know how the economy is in your area, but here people are broke due to gas prices and everyday living expense. Good luck either way.

THe economy is pretty bad here too, not to mention we just had some parts of the state destroyed here last week. It is not that I think it is a bad deal, I just don't know if the car will bring a whole lot around here. I talked with a guy the other day with a nice paint job on a 92 hatch that ran his car several times on ebay. Car had a chp 347, turbo kit with all USA parts, built rear-end with 33 spline axles, Aeromotive fuel system and a tko 600. Less than a 1k miles on all parts. He couldn't even get a 7k offer on the car.

Well, I didn't get to buy the car. Some dip**** from Tuscaloosa stole it. My buddy told me if they recover it and it is still alright, we can make a deal. As of now, we may never see it again.
