Default Quick Mass Air Flow question

Got a supercharged 5.0.

Getting 42lb injectors, 70mm TB, and my buddy has a 80mm PRO-m mass air flow meter with the short air filter calibrated for 42lb injectors and a supercharger application for prob. 130 bucks.

Should I get that mass air flow? Is it "tuner" friendly? When i bring it for a tune.

well pro-m makes the best stuff imo

and the custom burn messes with the computer no matter what the MAF is doing... so yeah i think so

42's sound like overkill to me

how much headwork is done to what heads and how much boost ?

Yeah generally 30lb and or 36lb max will support most boost levels on stock/near stock motors.

42# injectors will do you fine, as long as the tuner adjusts your cranking PW tables...

Okay, thanks AdderMk2, do tuners usually do that?

And while im at it a few more questions to test your knowledge lol

Longtubes are best for my supercharger right?

And I'm installing the pro-m mass air, 42lb injectors, longtubes, 70mm throttle body, UPR boost pipe, all before I get the tune, should I install a stage 2 snow performance meth kit before too? Its 400 dollars and I can afford it (decided to keep the stock heads and stock cam). Would that benefit me?

The snow kits are pretty good my buddie just installed one on his 95, it will allow for use of more agressive timing without the chance of detination occuring. you cant tune for stuff unless its on the car!

he has a 347 10:1 with 10lbs boost, he needed it badly!

i have heard and heard of the hard starting with 42`s but his has no issues without the PW cutback at starting.

But many many times it has been reccomended by countless sources so in most cases i guess it has to be done!
before he installed QrtHrs on the stock ecm he cranked and ran fine.
