Hello I recently purchased a 1995 Mustang Convertible but, im not sure what the hell it is. The kid put Cobra emblems on it, the rear bumper cover reads Mustang GT. the VIN says its a 4 code or 6cylinder, but it has a 5.0 302 motor in it. Is this common or is this a FrankenStang? also how can i find out if my engine is a E code or a D code??

 

Wow. Sorry im not replying with anything helpfull, but if you wouldn't mind im intrested in a couple pictures. Im sure I won't be the only one.

 

What is the 8th digit of the vin?
What is the "catch code" on ECM (3-4 digit code on the wiring connector). The ECM is mounted in the passenger kick panel.
Look at the intake manifold... Does it say Cobra?
Look at the passenger side cylinder head. On the lower right corner of the head next to the front most lower head bolt, there should be some letters/numbers... What are they.

 

sounds like AdderMk2 has a handle on this-
but I wanted to offer this too- check out this site www.decodethis.com it will decode the VIN# for you and tell you what you have - including Cobra, etc.
