Default first time on the dyno..

and made 253hp/303lbtrq on a dynamite land and sea dyno. Now I have to decide if I want to get my intake and heads ported or to get a low psi blower... trying to make 300rwhp. suggestions welcome!

50 shot of nitrous would be the quickest and cheapest way
What kind of heads do you have on the car? and most likely that will not net you 50hp unless yo uget an uber expensive/intense port. I would say blower, OR dependign on the h/c/i you have a set of good aftermarket heads, matchign intake, and good cam

I know I've been thinking about nitrous.. my uncle has it on his turbo beetle and its a blast . I've got the whole gt40p/cobra intake/e cam set up. I'm a broke college kid so that was basically all I could afford at the time. The engine builder I know is pretty damn good, he builds race motors for a family friend. He's built a ton of 5.0's so he's got a good idea of what he's doing. I just saw an upper intake he cut open to port and welded the thing back together. I've gotta talk to him about pricing but I may just go with the porting just to say I did it all on ford 'stock' parts.

a 50 shot isn't gonna hurt a thing....so long as you do it right of course....You would be fine with a 150 shot probably lol

I'll definitely look into nitrous then. I've also been looking at a vortech v3 as another possibility, does anyone know what kind of rwhp i should expect with that if i was running around 6psi?

6psi is a joke^^^^^^trust me I got a full h/c/i on my 89 and puts out 7-9 with a 10 lbs pulley so a 6.psi kit figure 4-5 max

For the price of s/c or even a good failsafe nitrous kit will cost more than p&p your heads and intake and installing a better more update cam and have 300rwhp all the time. Don't be afraid of adding some timing to it either.as an after thought mill the heads while your at it the added bump in compression is needed on a n/a motor, but if the nitrous is you slice of bread then I wouldn't stop at 50 I'd be throwing 150 to make it worthwhile

How much is it usually to get a port and polish? I know different shops will charge different amounts but are there any ballpark estimates? And I have the timing set at 12 right now and the guy doing the dyno work told me he wouldn't suggest raising it any higher. I was planning on having the heads milled as well if I stayed n/a. If I do nitrous I'd probably buy the zex 125 kit just because it fits into my budget. I was going to originally buy the TFS stage 1 cam but my dad insisted I use the e-cam because he doesn't believe me that it would be streetable with the tfs, and the engine builder told him that the e-cam was better (I knew it wasn't but i wasn't going to argue with my dad considering he bought the cam for me). I have heard that it is a good blower cam, is this correct?
