Default Parts availability for the Foxes.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into buying a 92 Fox but before making the move I need to consult the pros and see if it's worth it...
-The car is clean inside and has low mileage.
-It is also a rust free car.
The rest of the car is not so great though.
All the trim is rough and worn out from the element, side window frame etc...
The door moldings have shrunk?!?! Anyway, they look like hell and need replacement.
The bumper covers are badly pitted and need a lot of work as well.

What are the best places to buy parts for these cars and is everything available for them?
I need to get a rough idea of how much $$$ it will take to see if the car is worth buying or not.
Thanks in advance.

You can get pretty much anything you need for these cars. There is a huge aftermarket. There are classified sections on forums like this one, Corral, ect. You can also hit the junkyards. CJ pony parts, LRS, American Muscle, are all great online stores.

Thanks guys.
I know google is a great tool but it won't necessarily give me the best places to get parts.
I can already see that it ain't gonna be cheap, especially the door moldings, geez.

I see that there is a quarter window cover molding available.
It's cheaper than the alternative of buying the whole window and my husband says that in doesn't even have the "mustang" logo in the glass...
I sure don't want to lose that.

Do any of you have those covers on their car by any chances, and do they look OK?
Any pictures?

The moldings look like garbage IMO..... just take the time to tape the originals off...lightly sand the trim till its smooth...then repaint

I have the covers and they look great. That trim is rubber and can really be deteriorated on a lot of these cars. I would have done that but mine were to far gone. The covers are a good alternative.
