Default Strut tower brace

I just put some MM caster camber plates on my car and they hit the tower brace that was on the car. I believe it to be a Mac brace (unsure, was on car when I got it). Id like a chrome brace if I can find one that fits. So far only one ive found is a BBK. Does anyone know if a BBK one will clear the MM plates?

How bad of a clearance issue did you have? I would assume if you have MM plates that a MM brace would work for ya. Just have to send it out to be chromed. I know 302army had a chrome brace awhile back but I don't remember which one it was or if he still has it. Got pics of the issue???

The driver's side plate touches the bar that goes up to the firewall. When the brace was bolted down the studs that stick up from the bottom of the tower were all the way to the outside edge and the slot in the bracket was all the way towards the inside edge. There would be no camber adjustment. I dont now where the camber is set at at the moment since I dont have wheels for the car. I usually set it at -1* when I align it but thatll be awhile before I get to that step.

Ive thought about getting the MM bar and chroming it or powder coating it chrome but id like to avoid that expense if all possible.

Yeah. I just like the look of chrome. Ive also got other chromed and polished stuff lying around. I probably just go with the MM one since ive got everything else they make. Just have to save the chroming or powdercoating for when it starts looking dingy.
