Hmm good info but for what it's worth it did use washers on the back side cause I didn't want it to pull thru
As for draining the battery is hooked it to a key on location so it's not on all the time, I just spliced into the radio wire (also red) so when I turn the key its on and the back light to my headlight switch green to the coil and ground to a chassis ground
