quick question

i have a 1992 ford flareside with a 5.0l v8. is that the same as the mustang motor or does it have the same name with alot less power?

Should be just a 5.0 motor. The mustang motors are HO motors. They have a different firing order and a couple other things different.

alot less hp? and i want to mod it, could i mod it with parts that i would buy if i had a mustang motor?

thinking about getting ported heads, exhaust, cam, ugrade air intake, and then possibly nosing it but if i cant i cant i mean id love to do it and get some nice hp out of it, i was also thinking about porting the heads?

Don't waste your time with ported stock E6 or E7 heads. Being a truck you might as well go with a 351w and build up from there
