Default 92 mustang question

I have a 92 5.0 with 165,000 miles on the block I want I begintk modify the engine with bolt ons, new Hess, etc but I know sooner or later I will need to rebuild the block so my question is would t be smarter to get the engine rebuilt or to buy a 5.0 crate engine off of ford racing? Thanks guys

Get in the tech section and check it out, but I would have to agree that it all depends on the budget. Welcome to MF.

Welcome to the forum. As to your question, like others have said it depends on how much money you have. I'm personally a fan of crate engines but depending on how much work you can do a rebuild is cheaper.

I'd recommend the FRPP crate motor. I think the X302s are around $3500 right now, and that's with a warranty!

I have a good amount of cash saved up right now I have about 4 grand I'm willing to put into it at the moment and starting with the block would be key so you guys recommend a crate engine? If so what are some good choices and deals?
