possible ground issue?

Question possible ground issue?

ok so i installed after market cd player got correct wire connects but now when i start car dash lights are always on and running light are like half light is the best i can discribe..bad ground?

sounds like a short someplace to me, best guess.
I have installed several different after market decks in mustangs and never encounterd that problem. I have always just bought the correct plug adaptor for the year car and wired it up and plugged it in never took apart the factory plug.
id say start by undoing what ever you did and see if it is normal again. You have to rule out any wiring issues that you caused. Also I believe there is an issue with the factory head lamp switch harness where the end that plugs into the switch can become brittle and crack or fall apart may want to check there also to be sure some of the wires are not shorting out.

ya thats the thing i did get correct adaptor n it does it, but with stock it dont. ill put the groung to a solid place n see what happens and take off the red n orange one at a time n see what one it is if not ground
