Will this 5 lug kit work for my '86 GT?
Found this kit on latemodelrestoraton, but it says 1987-'93.

Will it work without any issues for my '86 or will I need parts from '87 and up mustangs? and yes I do realize it is also a rear disc conversion kit as well.
Thanks for any help.

You could use that kit but you'd have to get some '87-'93 spindles. Also, the front '86 struts are wider than '87-'93 struts where they mount to the spindle... so you could use spacers/washers to fill the gaps or just get new '87-'93 struts that fit the '87-'93 spidles correctly if you are due for a new set of struts.

Decided to scratch the disc brake conversion, and am planning on doing the 5 lug conversion "junkyard style". I know I need two drivers side axles from a '83 - '92 ranger, but didn't those come with 7.5'' rears? Will the axles from those work fine with the 8.8'' in my 86 gt? I know I can also use the front rotors from a 80's model Mark 7. Will I have to upgrade to the SN95 Spindles to use those though?

Yes they are a 7.5" rear, but it's the axles you need. Can also use two passenger sides(opposite what the Ranger ones are, you say driver) from an Aerostar, not sure on the years.
You CAN use the Lincoln rotors. You will not need the SN95 spindles to use them either. However, you'd have a very limited selection of wheels and no options for brake upgrades in the future. I would get the sn95 spindles. Then you have a wide selection of wheels and already have the base for brake upgrades.
