okay my one friend has a 331 and said hes either pushing around 600 or 650, but he drag races with it to and has a stock 302 block. im not looking to make anything that crazy im just fine with 450 to 550 but it would be neat to have a s/c do you think it may be possible if i make it just a 331?
These kits are great pieces I have used a few of there kits in various cars, and they have always been top quality!
If you plan on going with boost later you would be safer by a slim margin going with the 331, use a main girdle with studs but once you pass a certain power with your given block it will break, but I have done a few stock block strokers that are still living under boost and nitrous, a good balance job and the correct assembly techniques and tolerances will help you on engine life!
All in all you can get to where you are going well under 7k if you can do most of the work yourself!
You can get a good low budget aluminum head for about 700, you can get a set of cnc`d 205 edelbrock E streets for 1150!
What do you plan on doing staying efi or going carbed?

picked up a 347 stroker kit from this place.

Never got to install it, but their customer service was great in helping me figure out what I needed.

if you plan on putting boost to that stroker some day you have to go with a better block than stock. i would say once you get up over 500 hp on a stock block your starting to push it. if youre going through the trouble of building a motor now and you want to make big power with it i would invest in a block too.
