Well the 15psi tune is close I did find out today after doing some data logging that the boost retard is working well LOL it showed -8 degrees of timing LOL. I think rolling some timing in it might make a bit more power in this case LOL. Hell it is killing the D/R now cant wait for this.
It also looks like if the weather is good I may be gone to the track tomorrow also to get some mild boost runs.
The boost controller is working pretty good I did see almost 20 psi. today. I was like oh **** lift.
So with a bit more tuning and we will turn it up a bit more looking for the 9s

Yep. I ran it and I am not real happy so far I only got one clean pass and that was on 10psi. with only a 1.980 60ft. it ran 11.49 @123. the next pass was a 1.789 60ft but I had to lift the car is popping and surging. on any thing more then 10psi. the 1.78 60 would have put me right around low 11s to high 10s with 10psi. I would be happy with that but it didnt happen.
I did have a couple 12.0 passes one was 96 mph and another was 106
The track just sucked bad I could only get the car to hook if I stalled it at 2500 and eased it out of the hole I tried many time to get it to leave at 3000 rpm but it would just explode the tires into smoke, had the struts set lose and 16psi in the rear tires guess I am gone to try more air next time.
But I need to get the spark blow out fixed I think I need to put plugs in it. I pulled them but they didnt look bad last night due to it popping on 15psi. So I will try that first and move from there.
But I dont know what to do just yet about the traction LOL. it is like the convert is a light switch it is on or off but the track was really bad everyone said they was 3ths off and it was hot and humid as hell.
So if everyone was 3ths off then that alone would put me low 11s to high 10s with the **** poor 60s so back to more tuning and testing.
I really think if the car would hook from the higher stall it would be bad *** but it was not gone to happen today so after 7 runs I came on home. with only one full pass, on low boost and no full pass runs at 15 psi. yet. and a hand full of aborted passes in them 7.
Didnt want to keep running the **** out of the car and not seeing any changes. I got a baseline to start from.
Plus side I came home with no parts breakage and I had a pretty good time but damn it was hot.

^^^^123 mph on low boost........I can only imagine where it's gonna be on higher boost, not bad , at least you got a baseline to work from now........which is what I got back in April on my ride.

yeah I hear you Mike. Thinking I am gone to have to buy my own VHT for test and tune days due to the track being a bunch of tight *** people. I just cant get a clean 60ft to see if the converter is gone to work.
It is ashamed about the whole traction issues over there, maybe I will have to go on a race day to see if it is any better but I doubt it people are bitching all the time any more about it. guess I could go to 75/80 that place hooks great so I hear with Mr Sticky prepping the track ( so they call him) and I know summerduck hooks but I dont have the truck running so that is a big cant do.

Well plan for the weekend is to get some new plugs in it gone to go back up one heat range I think. swap out the rear springs for a different set I have and I got a High Flow water pump coming also.
Oh and rewire my fan set up it burnt up under the dash at the track the other day switch went bad I guess and it burnt up. easy fix

LOL funny thing I was looking at the time slips and I had a Honda that I ran he out 60ft me LOL thats sad but it just shows how bad our car is hooking right now.

Chassis Engineering rear arms Chassis Engineering 3 way adj. rear shocks. the rear arms are well built with hard bushings in them. pinion angle is set. The upper arms are soild end on the body side and are adj. they are old but work I have stock front with Strange Drag struts on the front. I was running a soft spring in the rear but I have now put a stiffer spring in the rear. I have not had it back to the track yet but I am gone to wait and go on a race day so they will prep. the Fing track better before I make any other changes.
I do have a set of the UPR arms and bushings for the rear later if I change them out but right now I dont want to do that. the UPR stuff is all solid mount and I really would like to stay away from that on this car as much as I drive this thing. But I will do what I have to. to get it to hook.

Understood. I'll definitely follow your posts to see how it does. Sounds like a fun car!

Well it was a good day after all the long hrs and hard work the car is finally starting to come around. We went 10.87 with the gauge saying 10psi. then I turned it up to 12 and the logger said I was bouncing between 10 and 12.5 with most of the run below 12 and went 10.55. with the logger say -5 degrees of timing there is none in it. LOL pump gas and off the foot break. Best 60ft ever for the car was today with a 1.58. Cant wait to start sneaking real boost and mild timing in it. then there is that trans break I been wanting. So like I said good day. I am only 2 ths off my best et with a butt load less boost and lots less timing.
I think My 9 second run is coming. I want to do it with no more then 15psi. and my tune-up.
