Default '94 Clutch & DS options

Here's my situation: 1994 GT with 205K miles that serves as a daily driver. There are tons of clutch kits out there and I need one that would work now as a DD, and possibly support a warmed up 302 or 331 in the future. Looking for one made in the USA as well.

Also, thinking about putting in an aluminum drive shaft at the same time. Any difference in the FRPP and the Summit brand aside from price?

Thank you for your input.

I would go with a Ram or Spec clutch. And I think the money for a driveshaft would be better spent elsewhere

Thanks.

The thinking behind the DS, is it's a quick way to change out the U-joints and smooth things out a little.

+1 on the Ram clutch and spending the money elsewhere, instead of on the DS. U joints are inexpensive and not hard to replace.

You could also replace other worn clutch components like the pilot bearing, clutch fork, hardware, flywheel, clutch cable etc. Im doing my clutch soon and replacing it all.

Run a Spec stage 3+. May sound ridiculous but trust me youll love it. I was skeptical when I was told to run it but I will never run another clutch after driving that one. Its a full face kevlar so it doesnt chatter like a puck clutch will. I also have a MM clutch cable set up which helps a lot.

^ Not sure if the spacer would be needed or not.. AWD Aero's used a 7.5 rear, would that matter?

No, bolt pattern is the same. Aerostar's had an aluminum one, yes? I've heard of people having vibration issues with the spacers
