Default Car runs great when cold, when it warms up though, rough. EGR?

Car starts up and runs great when it's cold.

After running it for a while and coming back to start it, it's REALLY rough, doesn't want to start, and doesn't want to stay running unless you keep the RPMs up.

It's an '87 GT with speed density. From the little googling I've done, it's got symptoms of a bad EGR valve or EGR related stuff.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

could be an EGR solenoid, could just be the cats, I've had catalytic converters that gave me the same symptoms you're having. If so, would suck, they're a bitch to have replaced, both parts and labor is pretty expensive.

Thanks for the info.

Well, if it's the cats, then offroad is going on it.

If it is the cats, is there a way to tell without replacing them? I hate to just throw parts at it, mainly because the car needs other stuff that is priority right now, mainly a new throttle body.

Thanks again.
