Default Clutch and tranny differences and modern technology ('87 vs '10 observation)

Man, it sure is weird going from a nice light modern clutch and a Tremec - to getting in the '87 and fighting the stiff clutch and the T5!

Not that it's not fun, it's just cool to see how far even in only 23 years Mustangs had come!

I feel like I'm more of an active driver in the '87, while in the 2010, even though I'm still shifting, it's more like I'm just riding.

I love them both though, it's a good problem to have!

"Active Driver" lol, damn right. I'll guarantee you'll never fall asleep behind the wheel of my fox lol. Full attention required. But like you said, that's what makes them fun.

my thoughts are you have to have something to talk about. hehhee. Mine shifts fine thru forward gears but that damn reverse will give me a fit sometimes.

Ha! Yeah, I admit I've kinda geeked out a little bit since I got the '87.

I'm not typically a frequent poster, but this car has made it fun again.

You could always grab the hydraulic clutch kit by Mccleod and get the same feel that you have in the S197 (I think that's what the '10-'14 body style are still called)

That's a cool kit, but for that price I'll deal with it!
