Default Wiring radio? PLEASE HELP

I just bought a 5.0 L '95 Mustang and it has an aftermarket head unit, it comes on fine, but no sound come out of the speakers? I figured i need to rewire it with a different head unit? I wanted to use my old double din screen, is there any way to do this? I also have 2 12 in. speakers and an amp i can use, if i need to.It has the stock Mach 460 system in it now though. I NEED HELP, PLEASE.

Call Crutchfield and ask if they have a wiring harness for your model radio and car. They will help you make all the connection. their customer service is the best I've ever seen.

Walmart sells Ford connectors in their stereo section. Before you buy, ensure the guy who installed the one with now sound didn't cut the factory connectors going into the car. If he hasn't you can buy a ford connector (take a picture of factory one) to put to your Double DIN.

It may be a loose connection or someone blew those speakers out... who knows.

Might see if they're connected at the door and rear panels.

Good luck!

If it is all wired, regardless of quality, and there is no sound, then the speakers
or radio is bad. Sure, it can turn on, but that does not mean the amp in the
radio works...

the thing is, i can tell it isnt professionally done, but i cant tell if the connections are right, or if it's missing any, cause some wires arent connected, and 2 connections dont match colors. I'm at work now, but i will definitely post pictures so you guys can have a look

Default DONE.

Thanks for your help, guys. I got the speakers working. Turns out it was the old head unit's amp. I appreciate the help and advice. Now just to put my real speakers in 😁
