Question Clutch play...

‘95 Cobra 5.0 5-speed with, I believe, the original, stock clutch. It’s been 30 years since I drove a manual (though, like riding a bike, thankfully it came back to me in a second!): However, I did notice that the clutch engages pretty high up on the release, i.e., not near the bottom when the clutch pedal is closest to the floor but when it’s released almost to the resting position. Is that correct clutch adjustment?

I appreciate your input and feedback!

yeah, mustangs are cable driven, and engage more towards the top side. If the clutch is slipping with your foot off of it, then you may need to adjust it. If it isn't, leave it alone.

Thankfully, not slipping out of gear on its own, so I guess “it is what it is” and I’ll leave it alone as you suggested!👍

Thanks!

well, i was referring to the clutch not holding power. it sounds like it is just fine though, from what you described.
