Default How soft should a clutch be?

I have a 91 GT 5 Speed with a King Cobra clutch. I bought the clutch primarily cause it is suppose to be 15% softer than clutch. And it is softer. Anyway, today I drove a buddy's 90 GT, I don't know what clutch he has in it, but oh man! His clutch is EXTREMELY soft and his car is shifting really smooth. His clutch is like a Honda or Toyota clutch, VERY SOFT.

How soft is your clutch? I'm thinking I may need to change out the clutch now to get one that soft.

he couldve fabbed up a hydraulic clutch, i dont imagine a cable clutch could be as soft as you described

personally i like my semi-stiff clutch, i dont enjoy driving a car where the clutch doesnt push back, more effort for me =/

I hear the K/C ar4en't all that soft. The centerforces in mine and my wifes car feel really sweet. Not much effort at all.

I was liking my KC, I don't think it's stiff at all. Feels real nice, but damn ... I'm telling you. I've never felt a Mustang Clutch that soft. I need to ask him what's going on with that.

+1, not NEARLY as much effort as the spec, but it still pushes back
