Default New clutch issues

Soo I installed a new 10.5" clutch pressure plate throw out bearing rear main seal pilot bearing today in my 89 gt 302 h.o. everything went fine but after I started it up for the first time with all new items I gave it a little throttle and bam vibrations. It is smooth on idle but any rpms it has a vibration. After letting it run for a bit it did start to smooth out but it's still got a little vibrating going on. It also has a brand new balanced fly wheel. I didn't reuse my stock one because it did have some neat looking blue n purple spots on it. I went for a short test drive all gears went in perfectly no grinding or any noises but Definitely grabbed differently. Is this normal for a new clutch? Will the vibrations eventually stop after the clutch is broken in?

Is your flywheel externally balanced?

Only other possibilities I can think of is the clutch is installed backwards or the pressure plate was tightened incorrectly. A new clutch will feel differently obviously from a engagement standpoint but it shouldn't vibrate. It may bed itself in in just a few miles and smooth out. Good luck.

Everything was torqued to spec and I made sure that everything was installed the correct way. I do know my engine mounts are broke and I do have new ones to install I'm hoping that's alot of what I'm feeling. Also like I said the vibrations have toned down alot since I've been just doing short runs and working the clutch shifting at low rpms and not speed shifting. I really hope I don't have to take it all back apart.

I think you have found the problem, broken engine mounts.

Would that really cause all the vibrations? I know it sounds like a dumb question but I'm just trying to be hopeful that I did the clutch install correctly lol I didn't feel the vibrations before doing the clutch. I guess it's possible all the moving around the engine did while it was all taken apart finally finished breaking the engine mounts the rest of the way. I'll change them asap and let ya know. Thanks for the engagement.

I will but it'll be at least a week before I get to work on it anymore because of work.
