Default new mustang sluggish until motor warms up

Hello I'm new to the forum, my question is I just bought a new 2015 mustang gt and have noticed when I first start driving it if I get in the throttle over 3000 rpms it feels kinda sluggish. Once it warms up maybe a mile down the road its fine runs great. Just wondering if this is normal or something I should take to the dealership. Thanks in advance

My reply won't really help you because I don't know for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if the computer(s) are programmed to do just that.

the cam timing is adjusted via engine oil pressure, and if the engine and ambient air temp are cold, the oil is thicker and cam timing will adjust a bit slower then when warmed up. that and im positive that the pcm strategy slows throttle response till warmed up.

It is normal. It is not really the VCTs though. They are midlock VCTs. It is the best strategy to limit wear and oil in the pcv.

Yes, mine is exactly the same. Usually as soon as the oil pressure drops under 60 psi at idle is when I get full power in the morning.

Yes to protect it from people that don't know you should not be working the motor hard or push it over 3000 RPM's till it is fully warmed up.

Yea I don't plan on working mine hard I just happened to notice it doing it and wanted to make sure it was normal. Its been bugging me to know, but if its normal then I'm completely ok with it.
