Default Tire pressure sensor troubles

I have a 2015 GT PP1... I have never had any trouble with it. But, the tire pressure senders have failed about 3 times. It usually has been shortly after a tire change. I have after-market 9-1/2 wide 19" wheels.

Are these failures normal?

It's normal for the sensors to go bad after a few years, batteries don't last forever. It's also possible they were damaged during a tire change. I usually install new sensors with new tires unless they are practically new.

Interesting topic here as just last week we got our first low tire warning on our 2008 GT still on OEM sensors, Tires looked good, but checking I found out that left front was down to low 2os, but the other three still up mid 30s. I think for sure the tire was OK, but I had checked them all before the drive, but later I found the inflator stuck at 12-14 psi with no air hose even on it, so I likely did it by accident adjusting them to 35 before the drive, but failing to notice the gage stick as I did that last tire..

That gage is trash now.

Light went out, stayed out, and the tire is still up.

My '07 F-150 did it too at the last tire change, but it was because they just needed to be reset.
