I went to the dealer for this and they told me that since they are performance brakes they squeak, it think this is B.S. but the heck with it I'll upgrade my pads a little down the road. My brakes only squeal under light braking and I'm at 10,000 miles.

so when it's time for pad, using a high performance or higher quality is better?
I guess it's better to do this somewhere else, not the dealer then?

I've noticed this with my front brakes too, only seems to happen at slow/stopping speeds though.

Judging by the number of responses, I guess my impression was erroneous.

I only have experienced this after my car has sat all day at work, first braking hear the squeel but never again during my drive. My alternator has recently started to whistle which is pissing me off because I took the car to get my second oil change and the whistle checked and of course the F ing alternator didn't whistle! Never fails!

Well overall I think it is safe to stay the stock pads squeak, as so many people have this. The dealer blaming it on moisture or being performance brakes is BS.

Now only if I can figure out this suspension squeak..... maybe new LCA's
