I will be ordering my 2011 GT in about 6 days! Just one question......Do the tunes void factory warranty?

No, that is, if the tune is not the reason why your car screws up.

If you car does F*** up, the dealer will have to do is prove that the add-on part or tune, or whatever is the cause for your car messing up.

If you get a.. lets say.. 93 octane tune.. and put lower octane gas in the car.. and have lots of detonation (sounds like marbles rolling around in your engine).. and you continue to drive the car anyway.. and then tell the dealership you were running a custom tune.. than Yes.. it will probably be difficult to get the car fixed under warranty.

If you load the 93 octane tune... and the car runs smooth... and you don't tell your dealership you have a tune.. and return the car back to stock 50 or so miles before your emissions inspection/warranty work... then what they don't know will not hurt them.

I would assume you would never want tell a dealership that you have a custom tune flashed on the computer. If someone cannot recognize that detonation/pinging is not normal they prob should not drive a car hahaha...... I have seen pistons and valves with holes blown through them caused by detonation. I have heard a lot of dumb stories though.

But to your point, I dont know what the big issue would be as long as it runs smooth. All tunes are really doing is adjusting your AF muxture and timing advance.

With all of the things recorded by the computer these days, I am just surprised there is no log that keeps track of software/calibration changes.
