Default Bama tune review

Here is my review of the Bama tuned SCT on my 2011 6spd.

I ordered the 93 octane tunes and loaded up the race tune today. Anyone who has driven a 400HP car knows that the 2011 feels a bit soft down low. The Bama tune completely filled in that gap. The off idle power is scary. Make a 10% change in throttle mid turn and the back end get silly. I got sideways shifting into third (granted it was 45* outside). I have owned a few turbo cars in the past and the power increase feels like I upped the boost 5psi. The only issue now is traction which is only going to get worse when I install the 4.10 gears I have sitting in the garage.

The same vendor I got the SCT from offers 10 inch wide stock replica wheels. Over the winter I am planning on getting a pair of those wheels and some 305mm drag radials just so I can keep the car from blowing its tires off.

I also want to report one thing I really did not expect. I recently took a 200 mile road trip and even with cruise set at 65-75 I only got around 24MPG I was seriously bummed about that. Today when I was going WOT every change I got I looked down and noticed the MPG reading was 17.7 and kept going up. I jumped on the expressway and reset the MPG meter. Cruising at 80 MPH I was getting 26MPG. I dropped down to 65 and it was reading off 29-31MPG.

I definitely recommend a tune to anyone looking for a huge increase in driving satisfaction.

well that should be taken with a grain of salt since it was only a short jaunt on the expressway.

In any case that's damn good lol, when I reset on the freeway in hopes of getting the best mileage possible I only get an instantaneous MPG of close to 24.5 at best. I really hope my tuner and tunes come soon....going through a pain with AM right now since it's been about a month since I put my order in and have had it put on hold due to some comp code issue with SCT.
