The Getrag MT82 made for Mustang application is still new. It has been in other vehicles, SUVs I think, but for it being mated to a Coyote, and in a Pony car, I think that is the first time it has ever been done.

I bought mine with the MT82. When I bought my car, I was under the impression that it was a Tremec, and I have no idea why Ford fired Tremec for the GT trannies. The TR6060 is a damn nice gearbox, and the TR3650 5speed is proven from years of productiion. I thought the '11 manuals would either have a TR6060 behind the Coyote or a redesigned TR3650 with an additional gear designed into it.

In my own MT82, I do experience occational rough shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, but at 5K miles on the ODO now, it is not as pronounced when my car was brand new off the lot. Also, my own rough shifting is nothing like what happened to this poor guy:

None the less, I am going to pay close attention to my gearbox; I at least know what symptoms to watch for so I know when to shut it down and not screw it up any further.
