I have had the car for 2 months i have 4000 miles on the i change the filer at 2000 miles i'am going to keep the oil in the car til 6000 miles.The oil that is in the car is breakin oil.Just my two ceants.

I was trained and practiced oil analysis about a decade ago with a previous employer. There's an awful amount of incorrect info and folklore about oil, even today, such as:

Absolutely, totally incorrect. The color of the oil is NO indication of contamination or if it's lost it's lubricating properties or if the additive packages are depeleted. Black oil can still be absolutely as effective as oil straight out of the jug.

Not to mention the fact that the oil will turn black during its first pass through an average engine.

I'm changing mine at 5k or when the computer says to, which ever comes first. Its free, so it will be a dyno blend from the dealer. The 2nd oil change will be mobil1 EP and hopefully I can run it for 12-15k like I did in my 05.
