Greetings Everyone,

I just installed some Eibach Pro springs and adjustable panhard bar on my 2012 gt, and have been experiencing a popping/knocking sound that I think is coming from the rear.

Occurs during heavy bumps or when turning over different angled ground planes. It is not bottoming out. It almost sounds like a suspension bit is hitting the underside of the car when the springs compress and I dont think its the bump stop. But this is just a random guess in the dark. I double-checked all my work.

I would double check everything. Look for rubbed spots on all parts e.g., missing paint, gouge marks etc.

I've lowered a few cars. I have always gotten "additional" sounds, but knowing it was installed correctly I did not worry about it.

Hopefully more will chime in, but if everything looks good I would not worry too much.

I've always gotten hella loud popping after gears as well. On turns while pushing in clutch .

 

its likely the top of your rear spring rungs clacking as they touch each other during rebound and compression. I had this problem on my 2010 with eibach pro's and sportlines. you will need these to stop the noise:

when i took my sportlines off to replace them with pro's, i saw evidence of contact of the top two rungs clacking together...
