Default Engine removal

Has anyone removed the engine from their 2011+ GT? I know the Ford SM procedure is to pull it from the top, but I seem to remember someone dropping the K member and front suspension as a unit and lifting the body off.

Check out the online manual on allfordmustangs in the technical section. Lifting it from the top is easier and safer, you're not messing with a 3000 lb car and having to support the engine at the same time. Not to say its not possible, just not as easy.

The only mention of dropping the k-member I can recall was a header swap, which the engine was lowered to get clearance but it was not removed.
