Default Short shifter question

Hey guys I have a question in regards to short shifters. Since the throw is shorter does it still go fully into gear. I'm interested in buying one but this is a concern for me and don't want to do any damage to the tranny. I had a short shifter on my old car and even though I never had any problems it just never felt right, and was always worried that it never fully engaged the gears. Thanks

Yes, short throw shifters engage the gears properly. The trunnion is adjusted in order to provide the correct throw/leverage to completely engage gears.
